Last week of work

This was my last week of work. I'm taking a month off because I have many things to do. I'm glad that I don't have to teach for a while. I was getting very tired and barely had time to catch my breath. Sometimes the students can be quite demanding and I'm wondering why I need to put so much effort into motivating them all the time. They need to step up to line without me pushing them so much. I guess this is typical of summer time students, and it is really rewarding to see them improving.

It was Dorrie's last Wednesday of taking care of Aoife in the morning. Aoife is going to miss those mornings with Dorrie. This time Dorrie had taught Aoife some new songs such as the leaf song which is quite appropriate for this time of year.
Tim and I went to an old time music fest this weekend. It was a beautiful day again, and Aoife seemed to enjoy the music. We then took Aoife to the swing so that daddy could see her swinging in it. She seemed to enjoy it, but was more interested in the other babies on the playground. Aoife has picked up a new skill this week. She has learned to rotate her wrists and can become quiet captivated looking at them doing this. It's a riot to watch her; it makes her arm look like a machine or robot arm: funny girl!
